The goal of the bilateral initiative is the exchange of expertise and best practices to understand rainwater retention systems in urban environments.
The initiative includes a study visit of a Slovak team to Oslo, Norway, and its surroundings, as well as a study visit of a Norwegian expert team to Žilina city and Žilina region.
Project implementation period: August 13, 2024 – November 15, 2024
Initiative Partner: The Energy Farm International Foundation is an international foundation based in Norway, aiming to develop and establish energy centers, known as “energy farms,” worldwide. These centers both produce and utilize renewable energy—primarily solar energy and biomass. The activities of these centers are based on three principles: serving as a hub for knowledge—from know-how to demonstration; being a place for business—production, utilization, and supply of renewable energy; and acting as a meeting place—at the local, regional, and national levels.
The initiative is implemented under the Fund for Bilateral Relations at the national level, co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism for 2014–2021.
