Bilateral initiative for making climate recovery happen

Important efforts are required to be made for making climate recovery happen and bringing governance of the climate adaptation and management measures to the one of the top priorities for a global response on climate change. We see that climate adaptation takes place on different administrative levels. It also involves many actors and different scales of the adaptation problem.

The bilateral initiative aims to bring practical experience and examples of climate recovery solutions to problems that can be tackled by using nature in 3 interconnected areas of interest – water & landscape, agriculture & biodiversity and sustainable energy use & heating. In Slovakia the strategic documents concerning climate adaptation consider water, agriculture, biodiversity and forestry to be the key sectors that appear to be most vulnerable.

Concerning adaptation strategies on local or regional level the lessons for upscaling the practice, knowledge and objective information for decision-making will be the key to make climate adaptation happen. The bilateral initiative will network Norwegian and Slovak experts to share and transfer knowledge, best practice and experience in the above mentioned areas of climate recovery solutions.

Climate recovery solutions from Bioclimatic park Drienová will be presented and shared.
